The Ho Sentinel Lions Club, on Monday December 26 presented assorted food items to cured lepers of the Schoonhoven Cured Lepers Village.
Members of the club walked the streets of Ho collecting food items and money from shop owners and road users to donate to the Cured Lepers. The exercise was in fulfilment of Lions Clubs International’s “Relieving the Hunger” campaign which sees Lions across the world mobilizing and generating support for hunger reduction around the globe in December and January.
Items donated included: Gari, Sugar, Cooking oil and bags of rice.
Speaking to the Cured Lepers at the donation, Lion Charles Grunitzky (President of the Club) promised more regular visits to the centre.
The Lions also educated people on the streets about Lionism.
