Writing is not a thing for the fainthearted neither is it for fake people.
As writers we are intellectuals in our own right. Being intellectuals, society regards us with a lot of respect and we are expected to justify that respect by being unique and original in thought and style…
That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t refer to other people’s works; we can. But when we do, we must be honest to give credit accordingly by citing our sources. That is a true mark or scholarship.
If anyone be fascinated with writing, go out there and leave a mark not as a copycat or a plagiarist but as an original version of you.
