DELIVER AN INSPIRING SPEECH!
Soon the December 7 elections would come and go; a winner would emerge as would losers. One thing that’s certain is the President elect would address the nation before and after being sworn in.
Of course the Ghanaian electorate expects to be appreciated for participating in and helping to entrench the democratic institution in the country; they also expect whoever emerges president to lead a government that would unite the country, implementing policies and programmes to benefit all fairly and squarely.
The Ghanaian voter, regardless of his political sympathies, also wants to be inspired by the speech to shield his political differences and to contribute his quota to nation-building.
But what the Ghanaian doesn’t want to hear is an uninspiring speech rendered with a diffident voice, littered with the lame cliché: “I’ll be father for all”.
